I just added a report on the status of education in Iceland on my Political and Economics page. Please read it and post your thoughts in a comment! (:

I really enjoyed reading about Iceland's roles for men and women. I am studying Egypt, and I thought it was awesome to see that just like the country I am learning about, Iceland allowed women a surprising amount of freedom and equality in the past. It is also amazing to here how much equality they have for genders in the present as well!

I thought your paper on education was so well written. I think it is interesting how Iceland divides up their education levels. I also liked how you were able to find a chart that gave me as the reader a visual as to how exactly these educational levels are broken down. It was great to learn that Iceland is for the most part, successful in education despite the unusual drop out rates they are experiencing. Hopefully the country will be successful in strengthening their upper secondary education system with the new methods the are attempting to implement.

Over all I have to say I am in love with the layout of your sight! You totally could create a "real" blog about Iceland and have this as your theme since it fits it very well! As for your report though, I enjoyed your attention to detail and the graphs and charts you added. They seem to have a sucessful education system, despite the high drop out rate. Hopefully they too can find a education system that works well for there students. I feel like once that is found, teachers everywhere should be taking some more notes on how to achieve that!

Hi Carissa, your website looks really nice! I really enjoyed reading how Iceland is doing so well in their education system. This is new to me because I don't know much about Iceland at all, but their format of education sounds different than ours and of the country I am researching (Germany). Your graph's really supported your data and the annotation in the second one was helpful.
